Pay: $80-$100k, depending on experience


The Senior R&D Chemist will lead research and development efforts, focusing on the creation of new products and the enhancement of existing processes. This hands-on role involves research, analysis, synthesis, and experimentation, with a preference for candidates experienced in analytical instrumentation (e.g., ICP, HPLC, GC/MS). The role also includes providing technical guidance across the company, requiring expertise in synthetic organic or inorganic chemistry and a strong ability to work collaboratively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute R&D projects to develop and improve chemical manufacturing processes.
  • Use analytical instrumentation to support research efforts and ensure safety and organization within the R&D area.
  • Prioritize projects and report progress to management regularly.
  • Conduct literature reviews to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to scale up new processes and support ISO standards.
  • Mentor junior chemists and participate in patent and intellectual property activities.
  • Perform specialty lab-scale syntheses and other assigned duties.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (MS preferred).
  • 5+ years of R&D experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
