Summary

Title: Fluid Transport Operator

Basic Function

The Fluid Transport Operator is responsible for the operation and driving of specialized vehicles designed for the transportation of various oil field fluids, including fresh water, brine solutions, and other essential drilling and production materials.

Essential Functions

The operator will navigate to client locations to collect fluids utilized in well servicing. This involves deploying hoses from the vehicle, connecting them to the appropriate source, and ensuring the safe extraction of fluids. Continuous monitoring of fluid quantities is crucial to adhere to legal hauling limits and site-specific requirements.

Operators must possess a thorough understanding of DOT regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws. Responsibilities include maintaining precise documentation of work performed, including driving logs, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintenance records for the vehicle.

In addition, the operator is expected to report any mechanical issues promptly and ensure that work hours do not exceed legal limits. Basic mechanical knowledge is necessary for performing light to moderate repairs as needed.

This role requires participation in various training programs related to equipment operation, company policies, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and physical ability tests, and obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate. A valid Class A driver's license with the necessary endorsements is required, along with a clean driving record and acceptable criminal history.

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential for understanding and conveying instructions. Candidates should be capable of performing basic mathematical calculations relevant to the job.

This position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move heavy objects, and may involve exposure to various environmental conditions.

Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as the role may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, along with occasional overnight travel.

Knowledge of oil field operations and related equipment is preferred.
