ASCO Equipment is seeking skilled Service Technicians to join our team. Opportunities are available in both shop and field settings.

While experience with Diesel Engines, Hydraulics, or Advanced Electronics is preferred, we offer comprehensive on-the-job training for entry-level candidates.

The Service Technician plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional repair services on heavy machinery, ensuring customer satisfaction through a responsive, knowledgeable, and timely approach.

Service Technicians collaborate with various departments to effectively address customer needs. ASCO Equipment's compensation structure rewards Service Technicians based on their experience, technical expertise, and work ethic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and execute complex repairs accurately in both shop and field environments, including pumps, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
- Complete work orders promptly.
- Maintain open communication with the service manager.
- Keep daily truck inspection logs and ensure a clean and organized truck and workspace.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills for daily reporting.
- Demonstrate good computer literacy for information transmission via email.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Technical Certifications or an Associate's Degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles.
- Ability to work within established timeframes, multitask, and adhere to procedures.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships and manage challenging situations professionally.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift license.
- Must provide personal tools suitable for heavy equipment repair.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to maneuver around and crawl under equipment for repair tasks.
- Capacity to work safely in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment through visual and auditory means.
