Position: E-Books Handler I

Schedule: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location: Tice

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Facilitate the movement of donated books and media between Autoline and designated storage areas.
  • Sort, pack, and store books and media efficiently.
  • Utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, and tippers for manual handling of materials.
  • Load books and media into containers according to established sorting protocols.
  • Label containers accurately based on category.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Background in retail, particularly with books and/or art is advantageous.

Skills: Must possess the ability to move laterally, bend, kneel, and lift up to forty (40) pounds. Comprehensive knowledge of book, media, and art categories is essential. Familiarity with popular authors and artists is preferred. Proficiency in using computers for generating description cards and conducting research is required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a flexible schedule is necessary.
