Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Compliance Manager to join our team at Armstrong. This is a full-time position that offers an estimated annual salary of $65,000-$85,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety strategies to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with drivers and agency representatives to create short and long-term safety plans.
  • Assist with driver qualification processes, equipment files, and monitoring the Safety Performance Rating (SPR).
  • Oversee compliance with DOT regulations, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), and company safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety notifications, Samsara ELD events, and camera alerts.
  • Provide training and awareness on safe dispatching practices, vehicle safety procedures, and identify potential safety risks.
  • Analyze safety data and statistics to improve overall safety performance.
  • Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams to ensure efficient scheduling, dispatching, and maintenance practices.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and presentations as needed for management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Transportation, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation safety, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Working knowledge of DOT guidelines, OSHA compliance, hazardous material handling, and FMCSRs.
  • Familiarity with ELDs, driver qualification files, and maintenance records.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work effectively in a team environment.
