Position Overview:

Millman Recruiting Services, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President of Asset Management with a strong background in retail asset classes, preferably from an ownership perspective. This role will focus on managing a diverse portfolio of urban retail and mixed-use properties across the eastern United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the comprehensive management of asset operations, leasing activities, and strategic execution of business plans for the company's real estate portfolio.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of financial performance, crafting detailed asset business plans while collaborating with the analyst team to identify opportunities for value enhancement.
  • Oversee various asset-related tasks, including lease renewals, tenant construction coordination, lender interactions, and contract negotiations with service providers.
  • Facilitate communication of results and key initiatives to the executive team, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Manage relationships with third-party property management and leasing brokers, as well as potential in-house management teams.
  • Collaborate with the executive team on significant property redevelopment projects, contributing to design, entitlement processes, project management, and financial assessments.
  • Work closely with the internal accounting team to review reporting, property valuations, and the annual budget approval process.
  • Engage directly with tenants and leasing prospects as the representative of ownership.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector, specifically in asset management, portfolio management, property management, or development.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in managing multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a clear understanding of company objectives.
  • Experience with various asset classes and urban properties is advantageous.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to navigate the evolving retail landscape.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required; familiarity with Argus Enterprise and MRI is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for property visits is essential.
