Job Summary

The Staff Accountant is a key member of our team, responsible for managing accounting transactions, handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and preparing accurate financial statements and reports for assigned clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting transactions, including bank transaction downloads, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for assigned clients on a timely basis.
  • Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with team members from various departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Three years of directly related accounting experience, with one year of financial statement and budget preparation experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with MIP Fund Accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting and/or audit experience.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, exempt position with a hybrid in-office/at-home operations. The Staff Accountant will work on-site during orientation week and have a flexible schedule going forward.
