Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief of Staff to collaborate closely with our Managing Partner in driving the firm's mission and vision forward. As the Chief of Staff, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Partners in executing strategic initiatives, managing firm and personal day-to-day operations, and fostering effective communication across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Partners to develop and implement strategic initiatives aligned with the firm's investment thesis and long-term goals.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Project Management: Lead and/or support key projects and initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and facilitating clear communication.
- Performance Tracking and Analysis: Monitor key performance metrics and provide regular updates to the executive team, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure effective budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Special Projects: Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned by the Managing Partners and General Partners, ranging from market research to partnership development.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, life sciences, or a related field required.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
- Strong financial and operational experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and interface effectively with executive-level external parties.
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
- A track record of driving results and achieving key objectives through the leadership and management of teams.
- A desire to continuously learn and grow, and to contribute to the development of a positive, collaborative culture within the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to independently multitask (i.e., manage multiple parallel work streams) and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in the biotech or healthcare industry a plus.
