Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Packaging Design Scientist will engage in innovative packaging solutions at McCormick & Company, Incorporated. This role focuses on the development and enhancement of secondary packaging designs, utilizing advanced CAD technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain technical drawings using AutoCAD and create associated graphics die lines.
2. Upload and coordinate graphics die lines within the BLUE system.
3. Design secondary packaging and produce samples, including mock-ups.
4. Plan and execute complex technical projects, ensuring all tasks align with company standards.
5. Collaborate with various management levels and cross-functional teams, providing technical insights and guidance.
6. Ensure accountability for project deliverables and milestones.
7. Prioritize and schedule tasks effectively to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
8. Uphold established standards, controls, and processes throughout the design and production phases.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or relevant technical study in a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in CAD and secondary packaging design, including materials such as corrugated boxes, labels, and cartons.
- Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong understanding of its functionalities.
- Solid knowledge of packaging materials and their applications in design.
- Exceptional attention to detail, mathematical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:
- Experience in consumer products, particularly within the food industry.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and packaging material performance.
- Hands-on experience with design tools and software, including Gerber cutting tables, Roland printers, and ArtiosCAD.
