Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team in Franklin, TN. The successful candidate will have strong design experience and be responsible for researching and analyzing data to determine the feasibility of design or application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Researches and analyzes data to determine the feasibility of design or application.
  • Project Coordination: Works with internal and external clients to develop a project's scope of work, estimates, and/or schedules.
  • Quality Control: Reviews and approves project drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Equipment Selection: Develops major equipment, material selection, and construction specifications.
  • Code Compliance: Reviews codes and client specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provides technical direction, support, and information to other architects, engineers, designers, and drafters.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifies changes to scope, estimates cost and schedule impacts; presents to project management for approval.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of two to six years' experience as a mechanical designer/engineer in consulting services.
  • Skills: HVAC systems design experience, client-level interaction, and industry knowledge required. LEED Accreditation preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Revit, CAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of mechanical engineer principles, practices, and techniques, as well as building materials, construction methods, building codes, and regulations.
