Job Summary

Chesterfield Imaging is seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality MRI images of patients, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality MRI images of patients, adhering to established scanning protocols and adjusting as necessary.
  • Comply with MRI safety guidelines, utilizing protective equipment when required, and operating the MRI scanner safely and competently.
  • Ensure patient safety by screening for contraindications, such as cardiac pacemakers, metal fragments, or jewelry.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS, to ensure proper charges and verify referring physicians' orders.
  • Rendere patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for MRI procedures, monitor inventory, and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.
  • Obtain IV access and administer contrast agents as required.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
  • Assist PACS Administrator and MRI Supervisor with PACS clean up, including unarchived images and unspecified exams.
  • Complete and maintain educational requirements, including continuing education credits for licensure.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, with continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification within six months of hire.
