About the Role

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI Equipment: Safely and effectively operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare Patients: Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process, positioning patients, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Conduct MRI Procedures: Conduct MRI procedures according to established protocols and guidelines, including selecting appropriate pulse sequences and scan parameters.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists: Work closely with radiologists and other physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain Equipment: Troubleshoot and maintain MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide Education and Training: Contribute to the training and education of new staff members and assist in the oversight of MRI students.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred).
  • Certification and Registration: Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI Registry (MR) (required, or must within one year of hire).
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in MRI department in hospital setting (preferred).
