Position Overview
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility, managing capital projects, and general engineering tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance Management:
    • Support the Quality/Business Management System.
    • Train staff for various positions.
    • Monitor staff performance and address any deficiencies.
    • Assess the efficiency of maintenance operations.
    • Plan, quote, and schedule major maintenance and capital projects.
    • Organize and schedule preventative maintenance.
    • Support the Health and Safety Program.
  • Equipment and Parts Procurement:
    • Source suppliers for maintenance equipment.
    • Monitor purchases to ensure receipt.
    • Adhere to budget parameters during procurement.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Identify critical spare parts.
    • Monitor supply levels of parts.
    • Maintain an inventory list, including sourcing information.
  • Production Support:
    • Provide backup support for the Production Manager.
    • Train staff for production roles.
    • Develop staff production schedules and procedures.
    • Monitor staff performance and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with GMPs and HACCP.
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
  • Familiarity with machine shop equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and foster teamwork.
  • Capability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership skills to instruct others on safe procedures.
  • Proficient in using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in maintenance management and capital project coordination.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform equipment adjustments and manual labor.
  • Capability to lift up to 55 lbs. or up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, follow CGMPs, and work in accordance with corporate and regulatory standards for food safety, quality, and sanitation.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations for the manufacture of infant formula and other nutritional products.
