Role Overview:
The Head of Procurement Excellence will serve as a pivotal force in enhancing Tallgrass's Transformation Initiative across the organization. The ideal candidate will translate strategic goals into actionable plans that drive business success, achieve cost efficiencies, mitigate risks, and establish a competitive edge. This role will focus on elevating end-to-end processes to world-class standards, championing continuous improvement, and managing change across all Business Units (BUs) to ensure outstanding performance across Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Change Management: Spearhead change management initiatives across all business models.
  • Execution of Strategic Planning: Drive the Annual Strategic Plan, developing and managing Commodity/Category Strategies through spend analysis and market insights.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with various departments to align procurement efforts with business objectives.
  • Support for New Project Development: Ensure efficient sourcing of materials and services for new projects.
  • Comprehensive Strategy Formulation: Develop and implement a procurement transformation strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Continuous Improvement Advocacy: Identify and promote areas for innovation within procurement processes.
  • Performance Metrics Establishment: Create metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of transformation initiatives.
  • Standardization and Digitization: Assist in developing a Management Operating System to standardize processes.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders and commodity managers.
  • Ownership of Monthly Business Review: Manage the Monthly Business Review process, ensuring effective KPI tracking.
  • Corporate Alignment: Collaborate with Corporate Business Model Leaders to align strategic objectives.
  • Training and Communication: Develop training plans for procurement and sourcing leaders to ensure program alignment.
  • Transformation Implementation: Achieve high levels of adoption and compliance for transformation initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with various departments to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Enhancement of Project Execution: Improve turnaround times for project execution.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and leverage partnerships that align with business needs.
  • Management of Material and Services Outlook: Implement strategies to mitigate inflation impacts.
  • Advanced Sourcing Techniques: Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to optimize procurement processes.
  • Cost Efficiency Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to drive efficiencies.
  • Commodity Management Strategies: Implement strategies for effective commodity management.
  • Financial Expertise: Demonstrate advanced financial management skills.
  • Supply Chain Risk Management: Develop models to manage supply chain risks.
  • Process Redesign Leadership: Lead efforts to redesign procurement processes for enhanced efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master's degree in Management and Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten years in procurement, supply chain, and vendor management.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications are advantageous.
