Job Summary

Strategic Materials Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for leading the tactical execution of procurement duties nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and negotiate contracts for indirect goods and services, including maintenance, utilities, packaging, and MRO.
  • Negotiation: Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Contract Analysis: Analyze contract clauses, stipulations, obligations, and liabilities to identify potential disputes and risks.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis skills to inform procurement decisions and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Assess and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality products.
  • Purchase Order Issuance: Coordinate the issuance of purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
  • Expediting: Identify and resolve supply chain disruptions to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • KPI Management: Develop and track key performance indicators to measure procurement performance.
  • Requests for Quotation: Develop and issue requests for quotation to secure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve procurement-related issues to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Process Development: Participate in the development of processes and programs to improve supply chain operations.
  • Invoice Dispute Resolution: Resolve invoice disputes and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
Requirements
  • Passion for procurement and supply chain management.
  • Experience purchasing rolling stock and equipment leasing a plus.
  • Self-directed and flexible with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and ERP systems (MS Dynamics, Business Central).
  • Thorough understanding of basic procurement principles and industry experience a plus.
  • 5+ years' procurement management experience (non-leadership responsibility).
