The Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Director I - SLED to join our team. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities, providing product solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining positive ongoing relationships to maximize sales for the company.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with acquired and/or existing customers to attain additional business and retain existing revenue.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total customer spend with the company.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and selling points, including enhancing expertise in Lumen's entire product suite.
  • Provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts.
  • Deliver accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnels of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of industry sales experience, preferably with SLED/Public Safety.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the telecom industry's competitive landscape.
  • Experience with MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills, as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
