Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Operations to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in achieving annual sales and profits in overall operation, while exceeding guests' expectations through strong leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold team members accountable to delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining show quality standards at all times.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, and Levy team members.
  • Regularly obtain feedback from clients and guests to improve operations and ensure that daily walkthroughs are being conducted in both FOH and BOH for every event.
  • Thoroughly and accurately use applicable Levy systems, including purchasing systems, point-of-sale, and workforce management.
  • Ensure that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are achieved and that daily sales and assigned cost goals are met.
  • Employs good safety and sanitation practices, follows and enforces responsible alcohol service policies, and executes required daily reporting in a timely manner.
  • Forecasts and adequately schedules team members to meet operational needs and desired targets.
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members and promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
Requirements
  • Previous leadership experience in hospitality or retail.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy and understanding of financial concepts.
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail, and excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
