Position Summary:

As a proactive Quality Assurance and Testing Specialist, you will be integral in maintaining the quality, efficiency, and compliance of our healthcare applications. Your role will encompass comprehensive test management, oversight of technology changes, and active participation in quality assurance initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) workflows, healthcare technology, and ITIL frameworks, along with a commitment to ongoing improvement in healthcare systems.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Test Management:
  • Design and implement effective testing strategies and plans for EMR system enhancements, new software deployments, and procedural modifications.
  • Lead efforts in Functional, Integration, Regression, and Smoke testing, ensuring thorough review and execution of test scripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Assist in the development and management of the Test Management tool, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Support EMR analysts in identifying testing requirements and validating workflows.
Change Management:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to fully understand the scope and implications of proposed changes.
  • Facilitate weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, evaluating change readiness and engaging in IT Service Management improvements.
  • Review compliance reports, address non-compliance issues, and create insightful Change Reports and Dashboards for enhanced transparency.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to ensure IT professionals are proficient in internal processes and ITIL best practices.
Quality Assurance:
  • Provide ongoing support after implementation to identify and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Collaborate with technical support teams to promptly address system-related challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare systems and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Conduct Change Management audits and assist with external audits.
Governance and Communication:
  • Establish and uphold quality standards, procedures, and documentation related to Test and Change Management.
  • Ensure that all documentation complies with organizational standards.
  • Create clear and concise training materials for system users.
  • Communicate effectively with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of changes and their implications.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, identifying and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to facilitate successful change adoption.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, information technology, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced degree in project management (PMP or MBA) or Health Administration (MHA) is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and ancillary systems, along with clinical knowledge to confidently interact with EMR Analysts.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare technology environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and IT Change Management.
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate and measure the impact of changes.
  • Proficient in QA and IT System Management tools (e.g., Tricentis qTest, ALM).
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering the highest quality of services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00 to USD $105,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate and actual pay will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. This range does not include bonuses or other forms of compensation that may apply.
