Position Summary
We are seeking a Chemistry Technical Manager to enhance our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for our sample testing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as cGMPs, GLP, and FDA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement management activities in accordance with internal SOPs related to laboratory and R&D/Validation tests.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to meet departmental objectives.
- Ensure adherence to good documentation practices and laboratory protocols by all personnel.
- Provide technical support for customer inquiries and maintain impartiality in laboratory operations.
- Assist in drafting, revising, and approving standard operating procedures and method updates.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of training modules for laboratory instrumentation and testing.
- Manage the department's proficiency testing program and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes affecting laboratory operations.
- Oversee R&D, validation, and optimization of laboratory testing services, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication.
- Participate in audits and recommend responses to laboratory-related complaints.
- Maintain high technical competence and engage in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biological or Chemical Science; a Master's degree is preferred.
- At least ten years of experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical field, with four years in regulatory or quality assurance roles.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as 21 CFR, USP/NF, and ISO.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in various software applications and the ability to manage laboratory data effectively.
- Physical capability to handle laboratory equipment and materials.

- Potential exposure to hazardous materials and varying noise levels.
- Occasional travel may be required.
