About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer II to join our team at the Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet. As a key member of our Division of Water/Water Infrastructure Branch/Engineering Section, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of our state's water resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze plans and specifications for drinking water and wastewater facility infrastructure construction projects to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide technical oversight for projects related to emerging contaminants, including periodic on-site construction inspections.
  • Coordinate with local public water systems and partners to support projects and ensure effective communication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Professional Engineer license in the State of Kentucky.
  • At least 2 years of engineering experience beyond what is required for licensure.
  • A Master's degree in engineering may be substituted for 1 year of experience, and graduate work beyond a Master's degree may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
