The Kentucky Energy & Environment Cabinet is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer I to join our team. As an Environmental Engineer I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of life for all Kentuckians by protecting our land, air, and water resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze plans and specifications for drinking water and wastewater facility infrastructure construction projects for compliance with applicable state and/or federal regulations.
  • Provide technical and engineering oversight for projects related to Emerging Contaminants.
  • Perform periodic on-site construction inspections for emerging contaminant projects.
  • Coordinate with local public water systems and associated partners to support projects.
Requirements:
  • Licensure in the State of Kentucky as a Professional Engineer by the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
