Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, operate a cash register, and maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with outstanding customer service and respond to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate an electronic cash register and credit card machine, accurately handling cash, credit card transactions, and making change as needed.
  • Perform basic mathematical computations, balance the cash drawer, and manage daily income.
  • Communicate with the public in a tactful, polite, and friendly manner, providing clear and concise information about our services and products.
  • Clean dining and concession areas, tables, and equipment, and assist in preparing and serving food items.
  • Pick up dishes, glasses, eating utensils, and trash in dining and concession areas, and scrape and rinse dishes, load the dishwasher, and operate the dishwashing machine.
  • Take and record the temperature of food to ensure proper temperature controls in the transportation of food.
  • Assist in unloading, lifting, and carrying food and supplies from trucks and storage areas, and place them in designated areas.
  • Assist in party rentals, including guest check-in, party supplies, and setup.
  • Alert management immediately in the event of suspicious acting persons, intoxicated individuals, or any other incidents that may require attention.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a positive, friendly manner with patrons.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours, with regular attendance necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to work as a team player.
  • Prefer prior experience operating a cash register and balancing a cash drawer.
  • One year of customer service experience preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and/or move heavy items occasionally.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • With assistance, occasionally lift, pull, push, and/or move heavy items.
  • The employee is exposed to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme caution.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions and can be exposed to hot, wet, and humid conditions.
  • Will be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
