REPORTS TO: FACILITY & GROUNDS MANAGER

STATUS: FULL-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facility & Grounds Team Member will assist the Facility & Grounds Manager with the daily upkeep of the facility's buildings, grounds, and event production. This position will generally involve the performance of manual tasks requiring skilled or special knowledge acquired through on-the-job training or experience. The Facility & Grounds Team Member will provide supervision of and aid team members in the completion of various tasks and day-to-day maintenance duties as required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Grounds Maintenance

  • Monitor overall appearance and cleanliness of the buildings, turf fields, grass fields, and all common areas
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair work with managers and contractors to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of facilities
  • Operate and maintain sports equipment
  • Maintenance and repair of turf fields, soccer goals, lacrosse goals, basketball goals, volleyball nets, and event floor
  • Operate machinery to include but not limited to all equipment
  • Keep inventory of supplies and equipment as well as maintenance logs
  • Make sure all paperwork is up to date
  • Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • General knowledge of landscaping and general grounds maintenance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification requirement
  • Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective time management skills
  • Prior experience using landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment and procedures
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in general landscaping maintenance
  • Candidate must be available and willing to work long hours and varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess or ability to obtain a valid Driver's License

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Will work in all weather conditions outdoors
  • Will be required to paint, clean equipment, and safely handle chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
  • Will be required to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
  • Will be required to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve but are not limited to the following activities: semi reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
  • Ability to navigate around the facility for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb elevated areas to complete tasks
  • Facility has intermittent noise
