Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Admissions Recruiter to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outreach and recruitment activities to prospective students, ensuring awareness of our institution's academic programs, enrollment processes, and student services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Host Presentations: Create engaging presentations for prospective and admitted students to promote our university's academic programs and enrollment processes.
  • Provide General Information: Offer guidance to prospective students to assist them in completing the admission process.
  • Establish Partnerships: Foster relationships with high schools and community colleges to promote our university's academic programs, admission processes, and student success services.
  • Provide Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service to prospective and admitted students, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Examine Admission Documents: Review and evaluate admission documents, including standardized test scores and transcripts, for admission consideration.
  • Complete Transcript Evaluations: Conduct transcript evaluations as needed for admission and advising purposes.
  • Conduct Campus Tours and Information Sessions: Host campus tours and information sessions on and off-campus to promote our university's academic programs and enrollment processes.
  • Makes Referrals: Refer prospective students to our institution's academic colleges and schools to support recruitment efforts.
  • Collect and Analyze Data: Gather and analyze outreach and admission data, preparing regular status reports of all activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree is required for this position.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License: A valid Texas driver's license is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will possess knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices, as well as proficiency in Banner and other job-related software systems.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: The ability to solve problems and make decisions is essential for this role.
  • Multitasking and Time Management: The successful candidate will be able to multitask and manage their time effectively.
  • Planning Activities: The ability to plan activities and events is crucial for this position.
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with limited standing and/or walking, handling light weight objects, using or carrying equipment, stooping, bending, or lifting. Extensive local and overnight travel is also required, as well as working some evenings/weekends.
