In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for reviewing a lender's corrective actions following an evaluation of origination processes for Conventional (FNMA) loans on behalf of our clients.

Your primary duties will include assessing the remediation efforts related to findings identified during the evaluation of the lender's origination channels, underwriting and appraisal processes, quality control programs, secondary marketing, and loan closing (both post-close and pre-funding).

You will conduct a thorough review of the lender's remediation of issues uncovered during the assessment, utilizing materials and responses provided by lenders, including written remediation explanations and plans.

Additionally, you will lead a small team of auditors in this function to ensure quality control, assist in key audit functions, support the leadership team in managing resources, and communicate with clients regarding performance, production, and quality.


Key Responsibilities:
• Review findings and remediation efforts with lenders on behalf of our clients through phone and email communication.
• Manage timelines for the completion of remediation by the lender.

• Collaborate with clients to evaluate the completeness of remediation plans, ensuring they meet expectations and resolve outstanding issues in accordance with client protocols.

• Escalate any questions to management as necessary.
• Accurately track the time spent on reviews.
• Maintain production quality and service standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform team leadership and quality control duties in collaboration with clients around performance, production, and quality metrics.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by your manager.

Qualifications:
• A college degree or training in Finance or mortgage banking is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 2+ years in an AVP level role or an equivalent external position.

• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Proficient in Microsoft products with excellent PC skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with sound judgment.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, punctuality, and dependability.
• Engage directly with lenders and clients for reviews.
