Golden Gate Fields, a renowned establishment in the Bay Area, is seeking a dedicated Culinary Operations Manager. POSITION OVERVIEW The Culinary Operations Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the successful management of all facets of the culinary division, which includes the supervision of all food offerings, specialty and event menus, culinary operational protocols, and ensuring adherence to standards and presentations within corporate frameworks. Additionally, this role encompasses responsibility for food cost management, culinary labor expenses, organization, and scheduling of the culinary team, collaborating with front-of-house personnel on service execution, food safety, hygiene, and food-related communications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Uphold Golden Gate Fields standards for guest service. - Assist in the creation and implementation of innovative recipes and menus. - Ensure consistent high-quality food production. - Collaborate with the Venue & Events Manager on menu development and daily operations. - Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain food quality, preparation, and presentation.

- Guarantee high and consistent quality of all menu items in both preparation and presentation:

- Ensure adherence to recipes; evaluate taste and texture of dishes prior to service; confirm that all presentations meet specifications for each dish.

- Supervise operations across all kitchen outlets. - Comply with Sanitary Guidelines to maintain optimal health department ratings. - Report and document any observed safety hazards or unsafe practices to management promptly. - Engage in special projects and public relations activities as required. - Communicate with the Engineering/Plant department as necessary for smooth equipment operation. - Assist management with inventory, ordering, and cross-training as needed. - Provide support in covering any stations or responsibilities in the absence of team members through delegation. - Perform other job-related duties as assigned. - Adhere to annual budgets relevant to culinary operations.
QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of two years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably within a luxury hospitality environment.

- Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of management, staff, vendors, guests, and regulatory agencies.

- Strong guest service skills. - Proven leadership capabilities and a collaborative team player. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. - Food sanitation certification required. - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Strong analytical abilities. - Exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. - Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions. - Highly adaptable and available to work any day or schedule. - Maintain composure and a balanced approach under stress or in emergencies.

REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Frequent and regular movements using wrists, hands, and fingers

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Adequate visual acuity necessary to view computer screens and documents

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Medium to heavy work; requiring stooping and exerting up to 50 lbs. of force lifting, carrying, and/or packing food resources.

COMMUNICATION AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to interpret instructions.

MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Fluency in English with demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.
