Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service/GM Line Leader to join our team at Meijer. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing direction and guidance to team members, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct team members to ensure effective execution of corporate plans and strategies.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve customer service, drive sales, and increase profitability.
  • Forecast staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies to ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all store procedures and policies.
  • Develop and train staff to ensure they are thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs.
  • Review sales goals, supply costs, and stock loss/shrink, and take appropriate action.
  • Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative to team members and ensure it is implemented effectively.
  • Mentor and coach team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience.
  • 6-10 years of related experience in the field.
  • Rotational assignments in other areas of the store are helpful.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach suggestive selling and lead an organization that practices working safely.
