About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Event Coordinator to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination of complex surgical events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination services for complex surgical events, including pre, post, and ancillary testing.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, providers, and staff to ensure seamless transitions throughout the surgical event stages.
  • Assist with addressing and resolving funding concerns, and provide continuity of care.
  • Coordinate with other services to ensure timely and effective care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum one year experience as a Surgery Coordinator or equivalent experience in a leadership role.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Family Service Coordinator or equivalent clinical reception/coordinator experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or at least two years of college coursework in health care or related field.
  • Significant experience (four years or more) working with the general public in a healthcare/customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $37.64 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
