Job Summary

Unity Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Scheduling Clerk to join our team. As a Patient Scheduling Clerk, you will be responsible for answering a high volume of calls, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and evaluate patient needs, create telephone encounters, and send to appropriate teams for resolution
  • Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and cancel appointments
  • Record information and effectively communicate scheduled appointments to patients
  • Control the flow of calls presented in the TouchPoint desktop system
  • Introduce patients to the patient portal and advise them of its features and benefits
  • Verify and update current demographic information
  • Discreetly handle and enter sensitive personal confidential information while adhering to Unity's HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in both English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, and telephone etiquette skills
  • Minimum of one-year experience in an office setting, preferably a medical office setting
Working Conditions

The Patient Scheduling Clerk will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, time-sensitive tasks to be accomplished within a short period of time. The office environment may be stressful, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
