Job Summary

The Patient Services Coordinator III is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient experiences. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on scheduling, registration, and verification of patient eligibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and register patients for outpatient clinics, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Verify patient eligibility and obtain necessary pre-authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications in collaboration with physician offices, Utilization Review, and Business Office Departments.
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by the Supervisor, promoting a culture of teamwork and effective communication.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of clerical experience in a medical office setting, with related experience considered in lieu of medical office experience.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology, excellent customer service skills, and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Background in insurance knowledge, with proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office preferred.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent sitting and standing, occasional walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are essential, with attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
