Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care by greeting patients and visitors, checking them in, and informing clinical staff of patient arrival.
- Collect and process patient paperwork, update demographics and insurance information, and collect co-pays and balances.
- Answer routine questions, route calls to appropriate personnel, and take thorough messages.
- Check patients out after examination, schedule returning appointments, and provide patients with appointment details.
- Record patient cancellations and missed appointments, reschedule appointments, and notify staff accordingly.
- Provide general administrative support, maintain the lobby area, and adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines.
- Receptionist or office experience preferred.
- 3 years of medical office experience with scheduling background in a busy practice strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel to other office locations if needed.
