Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, the Sales Manager plays a crucial role in broadening The Academy's influence by enhancing our membership base within a specified segment. This position will collaborate with a Member Development Representative to pinpoint opportunities for membership expansion, engage with potential executive members, and oversee the sales process from initial outreach to successful deal closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a strategic plan for selling memberships and solutions within a designated prospect pool.
  • Drive revenue growth within the territory or member pool by acquiring new members, focusing on multi-year, large-scale contracts.
  • Conduct consultative presentations, both one-on-one and in small groups, to inform prospective members about our services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with CXO-level audiences.
  • Utilize insights into the priorities, challenges, and opportunities within your market segment (Health System or broader Industry) to effectively align with Academy solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate new business opportunities.
  • Work alongside sales associates on lead generation, pipeline development, and logistical support.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of closed business to the internal Account Management team while continuing to provide guidance and support regarding member satisfaction, renewal planning, and future growth potential.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience in a complex and consultative sales environment or as a Business Development Representative or similar role.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue goals and/or quotas.
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
