Material Program Manager for RAM

Position Summary:
The RAM program is in search of a Material Program Manager (MPM) who exemplifies strong leadership and project management expertise. This role is crucial for overseeing supplier performance and ensuring the successful execution of supply chain strategies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to set and achieve organizational goals, and will effectively collaborate with various levels of internal management and supplier teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Material Program Strategy (MPS) and Material Program Plan (MPP).
- Provide comprehensive support for supply chain activities throughout the program lifecycle.
- Oversee supplier management processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Lead supply chain proposal efforts, including task descriptions and cost estimations.
- Formulate and execute risk and opportunity management plans to align with program objectives.
- Identify opportunities for small business engagement within the supply chain.
- Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and other key program reviews.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to synchronize schedules based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Monitor performance metrics related to cost, schedule, and quality, taking proactive measures as necessary.
- Manage financial aspects of material procurement, including budget development and tracking.
- Ensure effective communication of program requirements and best practices to suppliers.
- Work with other programs to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in execution.
Qualifications Required:
- A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Eligibility for a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain management within the Aerospace or Defense sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to integrate strategic thinking with practical application in program execution.
- Certification in Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent.
- Experience in proposal development and continuous improvement methodologies.
- APICS Certification (CPIM, CPM) or equivalent is a plus.
