Job Title: Sales Manager in Training

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Manager in Training to join our team at Compass Studio Tile & Flooring. This position is designed for individuals looking to develop their leadership skills while gaining hands-on experience in sales management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Sales: Provide exceptional service to customers, general contractors, and existing clients to drive sales growth.
  • Department Management: Support the sales department in achieving objectives by planning and evaluating activities, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Staff Recruitment and Training: Participate in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees to create a skilled and effective team.
  • Workplace Safety: Ensure a safe, secure, and compliant work environment for all staff and customers.
  • Personal Development: Identify and promote personal growth opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career progression.
  • Performance Management: Communicate job expectations clearly and regularly, while planning, monitoring, and appraising job results to achieve high performance.
  • Coaching and Counseling: Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as necessary to support employee development.
  • Policy Development: Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards to optimize departmental efficiency.
  • Strategic Planning: Establish strategic goals by gathering and analyzing relevant business, financial, service, and operational information.
  • Objective Definition: Define objectives, identify trends and options, choose courses of action, and evaluate outcomes to drive business success.
  • Financial Management: Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting needs, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality service standards by analyzing and resolving customer service issues, enforcing quality standards, and recommending system improvements.
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results and supporting colleagues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
