Job Description

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist to promote BOTOX for the treatment of Chronic Migraine in community practices and health systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry, and experience in procedural healthcare settings.

The Account Specialist will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers, including community/private practices, community-based hospitals, academic medical centers, and government accounts. They will promote BOTOX to meet/exceed sales goals and continually analyze the business to develop and execute a growth-oriented business plan.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to train and educate customers on the use of BOTOX for Chronic Migraine. They will also be able to manage complex sales and learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information quickly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote BOTOX to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices and hospitals/health systems
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including community/private practices, community-based hospitals, academic medical centers, and government accounts
  • Continually analyze the business to develop and execute a growth-oriented business plan
  • Provide BOTOX education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel
  • Collaborate with the Account Specialist for Spasticity and Movement Disorders to promote BOTOX for approved indications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field or relevant and equivalent industry experience
  • Relevant sales experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
  • Documented history of strong performance in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role with multiple decision makers
  • Ability to manage complex sales and learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information quickly
  • Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred
