Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst, Ion Commercial FP&A will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the ION Commercial team by delivering insights, analysis, and financial planning support. This position adapts swiftly to business requirements and provides financial insights for expansion. It involves analyzing extensive data sets to uncover business insights, generate forecasts, and inform better decisions and investments.

Specific Duties
  • Execute FP&A responsibilities for the Ion organization, including monthly financial close, long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
  • Act as the analytical and consultative lead and business partner for the Ion Marketing team.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the lung cancer market to better assist commercial leaders in aligning investment opportunities with key objectives.
  • Identify significant opportunities and risks within financial models.
  • Create tools and dashboards that enable our organization to manage commercial activities and resources more effectively.
  • Develop precise forecasting and budgeting tools and monitor performance against established plans.
  • Utilize SQL and Tableau to extract data from SFDC and Finance databases to drive insights, focusing on marketing analytics and sales organization efficiency.
  • Establish strong relationships with key cross-functional partners.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Outstanding data analysis, modeling, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Thorough understanding of core FP&A processes.
  • Proficiency in dashboard/report creation and data visualization tools.
  • High curiosity and aptitude for identifying trends, anomalies, and causal relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and SQL (experience with SAP and Hyperion is preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a data-intensive role.
