Position Overview
The Senior Analyst, Ion Commercial FP&A is essential in driving the growth of the ION Commercial team by delivering insights, analysis, and financial planning support. This role is adaptable to evolving business needs and provides financial insights that foster growth. It involves analyzing extensive data sets to uncover business insights, develop forecasts, and inform strategic decisions and investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the FP&A functions for the Ion organization, including monthly closing, long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight.
- Act as the analytical lead and business partner for the Ion Marketing team.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the lung cancer market to assist commercial leaders in aligning investment opportunities with key objectives.
- Identify significant opportunities and risks within financial models.
- Create tools and dashboards that enhance the efficiency of managing commercial activities and resources.
- Develop precise forecasting and budgeting tools while monitoring performance against established plans.
- Utilize SQL and Tableau to extract data from SFDC and Finance databases, focusing on marketing analytics and sales organization efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with key cross-functional partners.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Outstanding data analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills.
- Strong understanding of core FP&A processes.
- Proficiency in dashboard/report creation and data visualization tools.
- High level of curiosity and aptitude for recognizing trends, anomalies, and causal relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and SQL (experience with SAP and Hyperion is a plus).
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a data-driven role.
