We are looking for a meticulous and seasoned Senior Consolidations Accountant to enhance our finance department for a significant project. The perfect candidate will have a robust background in accounting, especially in financial consolidation, and demonstrate exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Core Responsibilities:
Financial Consolidation (120 multi-national entities):
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation activities.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of all intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements while ensuring adherence to GAAP and IFRS standards.
Reporting:
- Generate precise and timely consolidated financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the creation of financial statements, footnotes, and other disclosures necessary for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with external auditors throughout the audit process, supplying required documentation and clarifications.
Analysis:
- Examine consolidated financial outcomes, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Deliver comprehensive financial analysis and insights to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Develop and sustain financial models to support consolidation processes and reporting.
Compliance and Controls:
- Guarantee adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Continuously refine consolidation processes and implement industry best practices.
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulatory obligations.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work in close partnership with finance teams across various business units to collect and validate financial data.
- Guide and mentor junior accounting personnel on consolidation processes and best practices.
- Engage in cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing financial expertise and insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on financial consolidation.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and consolidation software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
