At Optum, we're dedicated to delivering care and improving health outcomes for millions of people around the world. As a Senior Patient Access Representative, you'll play a critical role in connecting patients with the care and resources they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient experience by greeting and welcoming patients in person
  • Collect and verify demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate registration
  • Interview patients to complete necessary paperwork and direct them to their appointments or procedures
  • Document any issues or resolutions in the electronic medical record
  • Utilize resources and tools to complete complex registration accounts and verify eligibility and benefits information
  • Assist patients with financial assistance programs and provide cost information and explanations as needed
  • Collect co-pays and deductibles and provide technical direction to employees as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of revenue cycle experience
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work 11:00am-7:30pm, Monday-Friday
  • Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electronic medical records
