As a Patient Access Representative Associate at Optum, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and welcoming patients, collecting demographic and insurance information, and verifying eligibility and benefits. You will also be responsible for directing patients to their appointments or procedures, and assisting with scheduling add-on appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient service and ensure a positive experience
  • Collect and verify patient information, including demographic and insurance details
  • Verify eligibility and benefits information for payers and interpret results
  • Direct patients to their appointments or procedures
  • Assist with scheduling add-on appointments

Requirements:

  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital setting
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work within the 2:30pm-11:00pm shift Monday - Friday
  • Ability to work every other weekend
  • Ability to work come onsite for training within standard, daytime hours for first 3 weeks upon hire
  • Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Revenue Cycle Experience
  • Epic experience
