Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Banking Officer to join our team at Central Pacific Bank. As a Commercial Banking Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, growing our business, and advocating our mission.

    • Lead credit discussions and possess good negotiation and loan structuring skills.
    • Primarily responsible for accuracy and clarity of all documents.

    • Primarily responsible to the team for driving and steering the request from origination to booking.
    • Contribute to the development of underwriters and associates.
    • Contribute to the team by working well with other areas of the bank.
  • Financial Results and/or Efficiencies
    • Primarily responsible to the team for reaching or exceeding its financial goals.
    • Responsible to the team for growing the portfolio.
    • Constantly seek opportunities and teach underwriters and associates how to seek opportunities with prompt follow through.

    • Primarily responsible to the team for building trust with clients.

Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma required.
  • Experience
    • Commercial Banking Officer I: 5+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or sales associate-type work in a related field required.
    • Commercial Banking Officer II: 5+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or sales associate-type work in a related field required, and 1+ years of experience as a Commercial Banking Officer or similar (managing a portfolio) required.
    • Commercial Banking Officer III: 5+ years of experience in commercial lending (sales), credit analysis, underwriting, or sales associate-type work in a related field required, and 2+ years of experience as a Commercial Banking Officer or similar (managing a portfolio) required.
    • Senior Commercial Banking Officer: 5+ years of experience in commercial lending (sales), credit analysis, underwriting, or sales associate-type work in a related field required, and 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Banking Officer or similar (managing a portfolio) required.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files, and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
  • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer, and/or other work-related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
  • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
  • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
