Job Summary

The Culinary Institute of America is seeking a highly skilled Program Operations Manager to support the success of our Consulting and Food Enthusiast Programs at the Hyde Park campus. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing program operations, logistics, and customer service to ensure exceptional experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and monitor all program operations and logistics, ensuring seamless execution and excellent customer service.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for CIA Consulting and FE programs, providing timely and effective communication to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage program inventory, requisition, and organization, exercising best practices for cost control, inventory, and budget maintenance.
  • Schedule appropriate space usage for programs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor Food Enthusiast Program schedule for accuracy, suggesting program cancellations and additions as needed, and tracking weekly enrollment.
  • Work with leadership to provide quarterly Food Enthusiast calendar, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage program billing, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing to clients.
  • Hire, schedule, and oversee the training of student workers participating in the Earn and Learn program.
  • Create and maintain efficient departmental systems, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Support leadership in prospecting and responding to new business opportunities, building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
  • Assign and delegate tasks to ensure effective program execution, coordinating with departments to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and resource utilization, providing direction and guidance to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in event management, foodservice operations, or a related field.
  • Culinary Institute of America graduate or strong industry presence and reputation in the foodservice, hospitality, or retail food product industries.
  • Experience using Eatec, Xenegrade, or Triple Seat database systems preferred.

  • High level of energy and self-motivation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong computer experience, including proficiency in project management systems and MS Office suite products.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required due to business needs.
  • Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes more than eight (8) hours per day.
  • Regular work requires a great deal of sitting and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
