Job Summary

Midland Farms is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high level of product knowledge, identifying new sales opportunities, and supporting the selling effort through product expertise and market research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Knowledge and Development
    • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge for assigned products.
    • Identify new product opportunities through proper research, analysis, and negotiations.
  • Sales and Marketing Support
    • Solicit new sales opportunities through proper research, trade shows, and cold calls.
    • Develop tactical plans that meet product sales and profit objectives.
    • Support the selling effort by providing product expertise on assigned products at sales calls, trade shows, training sessions, and product demonstrations.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with the marketing department in the development of POS, presentation, and sales material for the assigned products.
    • Provide clear and factual communication with regards to ongoing projects.
  • Performance Analysis and Reporting
    • Prepare, analyze, and report performance.
    • Review monthly sales reports and inventory on hand to assist with planning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or food-related curriculum.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sales-related role in the food industry (preferably fluid drinks).
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks on time without supervision.
  • Experience with promoting/networking in and around New York City.
  • Ability to travel daily.
  • Manage many projects simultaneously and perform duties in an accurate, proficient, and timely manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Represent the company at trade shows where needed.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation

$98,000 - $119,000 per year + Expense reimbursement
