Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer III to enhance our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional eager to gain hands-on experience while supporting the permitting, design, and construction phases of various complex projects, primarily serving industrial, utility, and renewable energy sectors. Our office environment is characterized by a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, promoting teamwork and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to execute calculations and develop innovative designs.
  • Design effective stormwater management systems and erosion control measures for civil engineering initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit applications for local land development approvals and state environmental permits.
  • Conduct engineering calculations to support design initiatives, focusing on stormwater and general civil engineering aspects.
  • Create detailed designs and plan sheets utilizing Civil 3D software.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for client and governmental approvals as well as construction purposes.
  • Maintain a responsive and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues, management, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Possession of EIT certification and/or PE License is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience in civil-site design, including stormwater management systems, site grading, and road alignment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is essential.
  • Experience with stormwater modeling and hydrology software, such as HydroCAD, is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license with no major violations.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities.
  • Demonstrated technical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the basic qualifications, the following are highly desired but not mandatory:

  • Experience with renewable energy projects, including wind and solar.
  • Ability to independently analyze and interpret data related to site usage and topography for developing stormwater management plans and best practices.
  • Experience in designing and developing erosion and sediment control plans.
  • Site grading and contouring design experience.
