Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to enhance our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong motivation to gain experience and will play a crucial role in supporting the permitting, design, and construction phases of various technically demanding projects, primarily serving industrial, utility, and renewable energy sectors. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to execute calculations and formulate designs.
  • Design effective stormwater management systems and erosion control measures for civil engineering initiatives.
  • Prepare documentation for local land development approvals and state environmental permits.
  • Conduct engineering calculations to support designs, focusing on stormwater and general civil engineering aspects.
  • Create designs and plan sheets utilizing Civil 3D software.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for client and governmental approvals and construction.
  • Maintain a responsive and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues, management, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • EIT certification and/or PE License is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in civil-site design, including stormwater management systems, site grading, and road alignment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Experience with stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license with no major violations.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Solid technical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience with renewable energy projects, including wind and solar.
  • Ability to independently analyze and interpret data related to site usage and topography for developing stormwater management plans.
  • Experience in designing erosion and sediment control plans.
  • Site grading and contouring design experience.
