Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to enhance our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will engage in a variety of projects, providing critical support in permitting, design, and construction phases, primarily for clients in the industrial, utility, and renewable energy sectors. Our office culture promotes teamwork and offers a fast-paced setting conducive to professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to execute calculations and develop innovative designs.
  • Design effective stormwater management systems and erosion control measures for various civil engineering projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive applications for local land development approvals and state environmental permits.
  • Conduct engineering calculations to substantiate designs, focusing on stormwater and civil engineering aspects.
  • Create detailed designs and plan sheets utilizing Civil 3D software.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for client and governmental approvals as well as construction.
  • Maintain a responsive and professional demeanor in interactions with colleagues, management, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Possession of EIT certification and/or PE License is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in civil-site design, including stormwater management systems, site grading, and road alignment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is essential.
  • Experience with stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD is preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license with no major violations.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities.
  • Solid technical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the basic qualifications, the following are highly desirable but not mandatory:

  • Experience with renewable energy projects, including wind and solar.
  • Ability to independently analyze and interpret data related to site usage and topography for developing stormwater management plans.
  • Experience in designing erosion and sediment control plans.
  • Knowledge of site grading and contouring design.
