Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic professional eager to gain hands-on experience while supporting the design, permitting, and construction of a variety of complex projects, particularly in the industrial and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team to conduct calculations and develop innovative designs.
- Design effective stormwater management systems and erosion control measures for various civil engineering projects.
- Prepare and submit applications for local land development approvals and state environmental permits.
- Perform essential engineering calculations to support design initiatives, focusing on stormwater and general civil engineering aspects.
- Create detailed designs and plan sheets utilizing Civil 3D software.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for client and governmental approvals, as well as construction.
- Maintain a responsive and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues, management, and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- EIT certification and/or PE License is required.
- 3-10 years of relevant engineering experience in civil-site design, including stormwater management systems, site grading, and road alignment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is essential.
- Experience with stormwater modeling software such as HydroCAD is preferred.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- A valid driver's license with no major violations.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, along with solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with energy-related projects, particularly in renewable energy (wind, solar, etc.).
- Ability to independently analyze and interpret data related to site usage and topography for developing stormwater management plans.
- Experience in designing erosion and sediment control plans.
- Site grading and contouring design experience.
