Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Global Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing electro-mechanical designs that are functional, reliable, and cost-effective for heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering analysis and electrical design or re-design of electrical systems and subsystems into existing and new vehicles.
  • Develop and implement electro-mechanical designs that meet industry standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration and execution of vehicle control and embedded systems development.
  • Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing.
  • Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
Requirements:
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.
  • Strong understanding/experience with electro-mechanical power systems, high voltage systems, and high voltage electrical safety experience.
  • Past experience with design and integration of vehicles.
  • Ability to estimate/calculate the available power and vehicle loads with limited information.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
  • Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 and/or Vehicle Networking.
  • Automotive/Heavy Equipment Repair or Design Experience.
  • Wire Harness design experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to design a thermal management system.
