Position Summary

This role reports directly to the Director of Quality and is tasked with overseeing supplier management processes and systems to achieve defined performance metrics related to delivery, quality, and value. The Supplier Quality Manager will lead a dedicated team while also engaging directly with key suppliers. This position serves as the primary liaison between Shoals and its supply base, providing expertise in quality management systems and product planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement supplier management processes, systems, and programs, including scorecards with actionable plans.
  • Establish quality agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Manage supplier audit processes, including creating an annual audit schedule.
  • Contribute to the Management Review process and oversee supplier quality actions resulting from these reviews.
  • Assist in the development of specifications and release criteria in collaboration with the facility and product engineering teams.
  • Facilitate investigations into customer complaints related to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier quality reviews with critical suppliers.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all technical issues communicated to suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on partner performance in technical and process areas.
  • Develop solutions for complex, long-term issues that may require cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the procurement team to align on supplier scorecard requirements.
  • Assist the Quality Director with additional quality projects aligned with business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in quality systems, standards, metrics, and managing supplier programs.
  • Proven experience in developing supplier audit programs and implementing change management across national and international suppliers.
  • Experience in training employees and suppliers on Quality Tools.
  • Familiarity with national and international Quality Standards Requirements, including lead auditor qualifications in ISO 9001:2015.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external teams to make impactful decisions regarding product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in leading a team and managing supplier audits.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong skills in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in planning and implementation.
  • A responsive and service-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, ERP systems, SharePoint, and Tableau.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification.
