Continuous Improvement Project Engineer

As a leading international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry, we are seeking a skilled Continuous Improvement Project Engineer to drive operational excellence throughout our plant.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and manage lean manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Track and drive CI projects to completion, identifying and facilitating process improvement projects, training, and workshops to drive cultural change.
- Conduct root cause analysis to determine metrics, troubleshoot manufacturing and business issues, and create process documentation.
- Lead, train, and coach cross-functional teams to implement improvements and embrace lean culture change.
- Interface with manufacturing personnel to improve existing processes, increase safety, and solve ergonomic concerns.
- Use creativity and industry-accepted methodologies to solve complex problems.
- Implement 5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping, and Standard Work projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in lean manufacturing environments.
- Lean Six Sigma Green belt preferred.
- Experience with leading project teams and lean systems implementation in manufacturing environments.
- Excellent technical skills and ability to execute lean in engineering environments.
- Ability to effectively manage lean or Kaizen events and supporting resources.
- Strong analytical and coaching skills, with a goal to develop lean experts throughout the plant.
- Transparent, results-oriented, and accountable with a strong customer focus.
